By plane
Brindisi Airport (Aeroporto del Salento - BDS)

This is the closest airport, about 40 km north of Lecce.

Shuttle bus: a direct service runs from Brindisi Airport to the Lecce City Terminal (Piazzale Carmelo Bene).

Taxi / private transfer: available outside arrivals; drive time ≈ 30–35 minutes.

Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport (BRI)

Located about 165 km away. From Bari airport take a local train to Bari Centrale, then a direct train to Lecce (approx. 1h40m).

By train

Lecce Railway Station (Stazione di Lecce) is connected to Italy's main rail network via Trenitalia, including Frecciarossa and Intercity services from Milan, Rome, Bologna, and Bari. The conference venue is approximately a 5-minute walk (≈400 m) from the station.

The Museo Castromediano is conveniently located near both Lecce train station and the southwestern entrance to the historic center. We recommend considering the following areas for your stay:

  • Historic Center (Centro Storico): Ideal for staying within walking distance of Lecce’s Baroque architecture, restaurants, and main attractions.
  • Station / Viale Gallipoli Area: Best for logistical convenience — just a few minutes' walk from the station and the venue.

Important: September is still high season in Salento and accommodation can fill up quickly. We recommend booking your hotel or B&B well in advance to ensure better availability and rates.
